West Midlands Golf Club Goes Back on Market

Diamante Cabo Journal brings you this news from the U.K.  The Goldenhill Golf Club, a golf course plagued by vandalism since it closed down, is to slated to be put back on the market.  The club shut in February after the operator, Jack Barker Golf Company, fell into arrears.  For more read here:

U.K. Golf Club Shuts Down as Farmer Takes Over

Diamante Cabo Journal brings you this news from England.  EDP is reporting that  the Norfolk Golf and Country Club (NGCC) at Reymerston, near Dereham closed for good yesterday after members got in one final round.  Last month, the EDP reported the club owned by Ray and Kate Barlow, was sold to a farmer. Vietnamese Look to Golf as Investment While Officials Condemn Game

Diamante Cabo Journal found this interesting WSJ article.  James Hookway reports that the Vietnamese are purchasing golf club memberships as investments.  Prices for club memberships around Hanoi have risen from around $6,000 in 2004 to around $30,000.  However Vietnamese officials do not look at golf as favorably. Doral Golf Resort and Spa Gets Auction Date

The Diamante Cabo Journal brings visitors this update on the auction for the Doral Golf Resort and spa.  The South Florida Business Journal is reporting that a U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge has scheduled the auction for Feb. 27 and approved a company controlled by Donald Trump as the stalking-horse bidder.

Golf Trying to Rebound

Trump Lowers Bid for Doral

The Diamante Cabo Journal brings you this real estate news.   Real estate mogul Donald Trump is purchasing the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in the Miami area for $20 million less than the price first announced in October.

The plan was for Trump to buy Doral for $170 million. But that all changed.  
Donald Trump's hotel group recently slashed its offer to buy the Doral Golf Resort & Spa out of bankruptcy to $150 million because it will have to invest an additional $200 million in the Florida property, according to people familiar with the matter. For more read here:
